We've released our Youth Summer Art Camps ahead of schedule! 7 week-long camps for ages 4-14, all creating fun and functional art projects in a number of different mediums! Projects include painting, drawing, sculpture, fibre art, puppetry, printmaking, collage and mixed media. The class will hold an art exhibition on the last day of camp for family and friends. Our camps fill up very quickly, so make sure you register your art camper soon in order to ensure your spot!! (We apologize for any inconvenience, but we cannot hold any spots without full payment.)

Lynne Hossay, Executive Director of the Arts Council of the North Okanagan and the Vernon Community Arts Centre, has recently been nominated and awarded the Arts BC Arts Champion Award.

Your VCAC has been taken over by... dolls! There's an outstanding number of assemblage dolls adorning our Centre Gallery, all hand-made and uniquely created by local artists. This show is absolutely captivating, and each time you have a look there's something (or someone) new to see. Full of vibrant colours and well thought-out materials, each and every piece is it's own singular character with a distinct personality. We have dolls made out of feathers, kinder surprises, clay, paper mache, wire, beads, fabric, miscellaneous household items, paint and so much more. You won't believe how great this show is unless you see it for yourself! Assemblage Dolls: Mannequins, Maquettes and Marionettes will be showing from now until June 22 at your VCAC Centre Gallery.
