Laurel holds diplomas in Fine Arts and Graphic Design and Communications from the University College of the Fraser Valley, graduating on the Dean’s List from both programs. Laurel has been working as a Graphic Designer in various studios in Vancouver since 1992 but recently moved to Vernon where she now freelances and is thrilled to return to her artsy roots.
Artistically, she practices a variety of disciplines including pottery, painting, drawing, lampworking and jewellery making. Laurel has been potting since high school and comes to the VCAC with a wide range of experience and expertise in ceramics. As an artist, Laurel receives pleasure and satisfaction from playing a role in the learning, growth and development of children and adults.
Laurel is a member of the Okanagan Potters Association and the Vernon Community Potters Association.
