The Vernon Community Arts Centre (VCAC) is a non-profit organization with a mandate to provide quality programming. The Arts Centre is located in beautiful Vernon, British Columbia, adjacent to the city's scenic Polson Park.
The Arts Centre currently houses 4 fully equipped and operational studios: Ceramics, Sculpture / Woodworking, Painting / Drawing and Performing Arts.
We offer an exciting roster of creative art programs, taught by highly qualified instructors, in a variety of disciplines, for adults and children. We also have drop-in studio sessions, open to individuals who want to work in a studio environment.
Our programming year is divided into 4 seasonal sessions: Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer. Courses are advertised in our Arts Program, which is published 4 times a year.
VCAC offers memberships to individuals. Members receive information about upcoming courses and workshops offered at the Arts Centre, as well as our informative bi-monthly newsletter, "Art Scene" which highlights upcoming events in the community and surrounding areas. Members are entitled to a discount on all courses offered at the Art Centre, and are invited to attend VCAC annual general meeting. Contact VCAC for more information.
The Vernon Community Arts Centre would not be complete without its volunteers. The staff at VCAC would like to acknowledge and extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to all those who donate their time, talent and skills to the Arts Centre.
If you would like more information regarding current or upcoming courses, becoming a volunteer, or membership inquiries, please contact Lynne Hossay at (250) 542-6243, or better yet, drop by, meet the staff, tour the facility, and meet some fellow artisans.
An exciting creative experience is waiting for you at the Vernon Community arts Centre.
